From Balloch Castle to Geilston Garden the area sports a lot of natural wildlife and stunning scenery to enjoy on your golfing adventure.There are only 22 Public Golf Courses located at 20 different golf clubs in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers. The course is considered part parkland and part heathland and is regularly described as a hidden gem with undulating fairways and fast greens.ĭunbartonshire is home to a plethora of engaging and exciting places to visit during your time here. From the highest point of the course the view reaches as far as Dumbarton Rock and the Clyde Estuary. Founded in 1907 this course offers spectacular views of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond. The Vale of Leven Golf Course is also a pleasure to play. Lenzie is a relatively flat course, other than one spot - the infamous Alma Hole. Established in 1889 this 18 hole, par 69 course has prominent features of old beech trees which line some of the fairways together with thorn hedges and shallow ditches.
To the east of the city lies Lenzie Golf Club, with its testing mix of moor and parkland. It is well known for its tough finish, not to mention its par-4 fifth, which is drivable if you happen to be a relatively big hitter. Milngavie meanwhile, is full of charm and personality. Both are 18-hole layouts which meander through mature parkland. The former is home to two terrific tracks, the Hilton and the Allander. Hilton Park and Milngavie are two neighbouring clubs in the north of Glasgow.
